Spanish to Sign Language

All is well here in Lilburn and we are having lots of fun and trying to work hard. I have not had to play the piano yet, shhhh no one knows I play here. ha ha ha. The new ward is great they are really involved in the work and they have been feeding us lots I am sure I am probably going to get pretty chubby slash I may be already getting chubby. Eww. It is a really big ward but we have 209 less actives so there is a whole other ward of less actives that we are trying to find. We go to church at noon and yes I did buy some clementines today. :) (She loves em and I told her to buy herself some and enjoy!)

I did not get to meet Adam and Eve but I did see a lot of pictures of them so that is pretty cool! Transfers are on February 19thish I think I can't believe how much time has gone by and that I will have been gone for 4 months soon. I am jealous of the Elders 18 months isn't long enough. Maybe I'll get an extension...? :) Sister Carrigan will have been in the area for 4 1/2 months by the time this transfer comes. I think that about covers all of the questions you ask.... :) (The new temple film Adam and Eve - Eve's mother lived in Rachel's other ward.  she thought it was cool)

This last week has been great while we  were finishing emailing last week some elders walked in and said "Hey we have an investigator for you" and brought Camesha in behind them... we just thought they meant we will give you her address. But Sister Carrigan and I did a little impromptu lesson right there and bore our testimonies about how the gospel can help us, it was pretty amazing to feel the spirit working  through both of us and a random scripture popped into my head and Heavenly Father  knew exactly that it would help her. So amazing.

I also finally found some Cream of Wheat at the store... I am in heaven. I can finally have some good breakfast. Aahhhh yeahh. :) It was a miracle.

I had to give another training in District Meeting and this time it was on Humility and all I could think of was The Best Two Years... "It's Humility ain't it." Whelp it is over and hopefully it went well and of course it is the week that the Zone Leaders decide to show up... Great...

And... I keep meeting more famous people... as in Mormon kind of famous. The ward mission leaders wife in Athens is on a card and has a video and there is some people in the Lilburn ward that have a video he is deaf... SO COOL. We went to their house last night and he does sign language.  I can't understand a bit. I now have empathy for missionaries that learn a different language and sit there in oblivion during lessons.  He just got married and they are pretty young and she is a recent convert, but it was a lot of fun! Go watch the videos they are...

I pretty much know famous people. :) It is kinda cool.
This week in my studies I was reading a conference talk by Elder Soares "Be Meek and Lowly of Heart" and I love it. Seriously. I can't even describe how much I need to apply this talk to my life, it is so amazing! Christ is such an example to us. I can't even believe that we actually have the opportunity to have him as our intercessory advocate and friend. It is truly amazing, and I am eternally grateful. LOVE that talk. It brought me a lot of peace this week. Christ is our Savior and redeemer and his is always waiting with open arms. I like to think of it this way... (I got this from this talk) Christ is sitting  on his throne and when I kneel down to pray every time he walks down the steps that are in front of it and sits down and pats the seat next to him I sit and I tell him about my day and it is like when I talk to you or my mom. He puts his arms around me he comforts me and I tell him how grateful I am and he promises to always help me with whatever whenever. Then he gives me a big hug and when I get up from praying he says I love you and I can't wait to talk to you again and then he goes to find Heavenly Father so they can help me together. I love picturing that and when I do  -  kneeling down to pray has never felt so good.

The Gospel is amazing and I am so glad that I have the opportunity to be apart of it. That is all for this week. I hope that all is happy and well, be happy, be nice, and love everyone! Have a great week!

Love Rach
